Back to other Community Information

Event Date: 21/05/2017

Information:
The Guide Dogs for the Blind are holding a Paws around the Park Dog Walk and Fun Dog Show on Sunday 21st May.

It will be held at Godmersham Park from 10.00am until 2.00pm.

There will be a guided walk around the grounds of Godmersham Park CT4 7DT. This event, previously called Dogs Unite, takes place on private land in a wonderful part of Kent, not normally open to the public – but special access has been given to the lovely grounds, to enjoy them for just one unique day.

It starts at 10 o’clock with a Fun Dog Show, followed by a three-mile walk starting at 11:45. We ask you to get sponsorship ahead of the event, using JustGiving if possible, but you are welcome to turn up on the day and make a donation. As a guide, £25 can buy a white harness; £50 covers the cost of a puppy moving into training.

Entry to the event and parking are free. There are toilets on site, a vet nurse is on duty, and refreshments are available. Your dog(s) will be rewarded with a certificate of participation and a goody bag at the end of the walk.
